![]() Combine this with like Time Extender and all of a sudden that scary group isn't so scary anymore. Anything that's bulky and annoying to you (marauder, bomber, etc) are also good hack targets. If you get lucky and snag an elite early on, can make the rest of that area MUCH easier. Very good for keeping the pressure off in larger fights. If you have this unlocked, it's kind of like a ghetto-cloak. Great for getting webbers off of you, keeping interceptors from blinking, decloaking snipers, or just taking out groups (fire a few corrosion missiles into a couple different ships, EMP them all, then fire at the third/fourth/etc while the ones you missiled melt helplessly) I almost always use this on the Interceptor. Clears out drones nicely (good against corvettes and drone carriers especially), and can cripple smaller ships. Its huge number of device slots lets you run some things that are shockingly useful, but usually aren't *quite* strong enough to make you want to give up something like time extender. I tend to prefer shock rifle + m3 beam laser, but I've been known to run with something to break shields and a gatling 40mm if I find one. Keep a shield buster and hull buster or an all rounder and the shock rifle. Abuse speed, and backwards circle strafe all the things. Cloak whenever needed to get out of a pinch, or to get extra look before Okkar jump in. Very good for escape, speedy exploration, and farming black holes if you're brave (teleporter makes you need to be a little less brave). ![]() If you have to, drop your current stockpile of missiles if they're valuable, craft a single destabilizer, fire it off, then grab your other stock and go ham. Or just melt them with your weapons (they die shockingly fast with this combo). They are amazing, fairly easy to craft, and stacked with a damage booster mk2 (which is relatively cheap to craft, if you have the gas) you can bomb a corvette with 2-3 plasma torpedoes and be done. Here are some key points on how I play them both. With that said, I like the Scout and Interceptor best. I'm not sure what sort of build to use with that, although the Devastator Subroutine and Adaptive Armor Device would be good for that.Įasiest ship to clear the game with is probably the scout. Fire Rate is also good for increasing DPS.Īs an alternative, you could use the Ancient Weapon glyph if you've gotten it, which makes for pretty easy, but boring gameplay. Energy Consumption Mods are very useful combined with hull or shield damage mods, depending on how you use whatever weapon you're putting it on. Always try to upgrade your stuff with modifications.Nano Injectors are hard to get, but if you're finding extra nanobots, I always try to have one or two spare just in case. CONSUMABLES: I often just end up crafting this as needed mid-fight, but I use Energy Injectors, Damage Boosters, and Damage Limiters the most.If you have more slots, put whatever you want. DEVICES: I try to get the Missile Turret, Front Shield Generator, Adaptive Armor, and Energy Core Extension. ![]()
